Orchard Park HS ATH Robert Kugler (Orchard Park, NY) recently picked up two new offers and more could be on the way in the near future. The standout ATH is all set to move to Pittsburgh and he's already planning a few unofficial visits as well. "West Virginia and Purdue just offered me," he said. "I'm still kind of taking it all in. My goal is to commit before my senior season," he added.

Boise State Head Coach Chris Petersen extended an offer to Kugler on Signing Day just over a month ago. Robert and the Bronco staff have been in close contact since that time. "I spoke to Coach Petersen and Coach (Scott) Huff last week," he stated. "They just talked about what Boise State had to offer. We talked a lot about family and how I'm planning to go to the camp this summer."

Very few individuals got to see the Boise State football program 'up close and personal' the way Kugler did in 2006 when his dad was a member of the coaching staff. The winning atmosphere at Boise State was a welcomed change after spending a few years in Detroit. "It was like we were destined to win," Kugler said. "I remember traveling for that game against Utah and hearing their fans chant 'overrated' at us before the game. It was just hilarious since we ended up beating them 36-3."

Chris Petersen has taken the Bronco football program to new heights. Robert believes the biggest upgrade has come on defense. "Coach Petersen has really elevated them to the next level," he said. "I remember the guys back in 06 and now they have even more talent. I think the biggest difference is on defense. Guys like Chase Baker are just huge."

Kugler has decided to attend North Allegheny HS for his senior season. He believes he'll have the chance to contend for a state championship with his new team. "North Allegheny went 9-2 last year. They have a pretty good program," he said. "They told me that they had three guys graduate at TE last year. I think I can come in, compete, and maybe win a state championship," he added.
