Hill College PG Chris Kupets (Hillsboro, TX) signed with Boise State last fall as a member of the 2010 recruiting class. He originally chose to stick with his commitment to Boise State, but he has now decided to look around and make the best decision for his future. "I've asked for my release," he said.

New Boise State Head Coach Leon Rice spoke with Chris and told him the Broncos still want to see him on campus next year. "I spoke to Coach Rice briefly and told him I'd like my release," he stated. "It just sort of felt like an arranged marriage since he didn't recruit me. It wasn't anything about him or me. He told me he has heard a lot of good things about me and that I still have my offer," he added.

The standout PG does find it intriguing that the new Bronco head man came from a solid program like Gonzaga. "It's intriguing that he came from Gonzaga," Kupets said. "He's just not the one who recruited me. It'd be great to play for a coach that has a background like that if I can get to know him."

Chris began his basketball career at East Carolina before heading to Hill College in Texas. Now he just wants to find the school that is best suited for him. "I'm just going to wait and see," he said. "My coach told me some schools have been calling and asking about me. I'm going to look at all the schools and see which is the best fit."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Chris Kupets.
