Punahou School ATH Jeremy Ioane (Honolulu, HI) made Bronco Nation very happy on Signing Day as he chose Boise State over Washington and Notre Dame. His recruitment came down to the wire. So much so that he will wasn't quite sure the night before Signing Day. "I actually decided the night before," he said. "I'm excited about being a Bronco. The coaches really know what they are doing and everyone is on the same page. That's something I want to be a part of," he added.

Ioane has been keeping in touch with both DBs Coach Marcel Yates and Head Coach Chris Petersen. "I spoke to Coach Yates and Coach Petersen last week," he said. "Coach Yates is really laid back. He's kind of like an older brother. He looks out for me. Coach Petersen said he can't wait for me to come up. We just really talked about the basics and when I'll be coming up."

Jeremy will be arriving in Boise in July. "I'll be up there around the 4th of July," he said. "I'm going to get a sense of the environment when I arrive. I'm going to check out the school, the community, and get used to what I'm going to be doing every day."

Ioane's highlight reel was watched over and over by Bronco fans leading up to Signing Day. His hard hitting ability had Bronco Nation holding their collective breath as they hoped he would choose Boise State on February 3rd. "I don't really look for hard hits," Ioane said. "I just try my best to make game changing plays. I just put my head in there and what comes out just comes out."

Bronco fans can expect Ioane (5'10, 175, 4.54) to give it his all on each and every play. "I'm going to give it my all and show effort," he stated. "I'm going to try to make every play and communicate well on the field."

Punahou School has produced a lot of D1 talent over the years. The school is top-notch in athletics and academics. Ioane believes he has a lot to be thankful for. "The friendships and connections at Punahou stand out most," he said. "It's a great opportunity for education and the sports programs are great too. I'm thankful for the friendships and bonds. I'll remember that later on in life," he added.
