New Hampton Prep SF Thomas Bropleh (Denver, CO) took an official visit to Boise State over the weekend as he hoped to receive an offer from new Head Coach Leon Rice. He left with an offer and days later a commitment followed as he signed an LOI with Boise State on Tuesday. "I got the offer on Saturday while we were at the spring game," he said. "He said he wants me to be a part of this family and thinks I could do a lot of good things at Boise State," he added.

Leon Rice recruited Bropleh while at Gonzaga. The new head man at Boise State felt Thomas would fit in perfectly with his new program at Boise State. "Coach Rice called me a couple times at Gonzaga and they recruited me. I didn't know what was going to happen when he took the Boise State job," he said. "He's got a good demeanor and commands respect. I followed Coach Rice at Gonzaga. Boise State football is a lot like Gonzaga basketball and I want to be a part of that."

The excitement surrounding the basketball program at Boise State was a major factor in Bropleh's decision to become a Bronco. He believes the new coaching staff is top-notch. "The coaches are great," he stated. "I feel like the coaching staff has a lot to bring to Boise State. Coach Rice was with Coach Few at Gonzaga. He has enough experience to know how to run a program."

Bronco fans can expect Thomas to attack the basket and be a team player. "I drive it and catch and shoot," he said. "I'm a really good passer. I feel like a team that passes is a team that does good. You can expect to see a lot of teamwork, drives, and shots going in."

Bropleh (6'5, 215) is currently at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire. He left George Washington HS in Denver, CO to focus on basketball. "I came to prep school to get better at basketball," he said. "I'm in the gym five days a week for two hours a day. I'm working on my pull-up drives and building strength."

Bropleh also held offers from Denver, Northeastern, New Hampshire, and Northern Colorado.
