Cosumnes Oaks HS DE Robert Ash (Elk Grove, CA) visited the Boise State campus last weekend and came away impressed. The standout DE liked what he saw on The Blue in the annual spring game and left campus with an official offer as well. "It felt a lot like home," he said. "I was real happy when Coach Petersen offered me," he added.

Robert already held a verbal offer from Boise State, but the Bronco coaches told him he'd leave campus with a written offer prior to the visit. "Coach Petersen pulled out the scholarship papers and handed them to me when we had our meeting," Ash said. "It was very relaxing. He's a pretty mellow guy. I enjoyed talking to him."

Bronco Nation certainly did their part this past weekend as the fan turnout was excellent. That didn't go unnoticed by Robert Ash. "I was most impressed with the fans. The fans love all the players," he stated. "They really showed up for the spring game. It was a really entertaining game there in the last few minutes."

Ash (6'3, 245, 4.89) currently holds offers from Boise State, Washington, Washington State, Oregon State, Cal Poly, Nevada, and San Diego State. It's safe to say that Boise State will remain one of the top schools on his list following his visit to The Blue. "Boise State is a real close-knit group," he said. "They have a big-time fanbase, a great coaching staff, and it's a nice area to play football. Boise is a real clean town with nice people."

Robert is already looking ahead to the Boise State Camp this summer as he and his teammates at Cosumnes Oaks will be in attendance. "I'm looking forward to the camp," he said. "I can't wait for it. I'm getting hyped up to show the Idaho guys how we do it in California."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Robert Ash.
