Odhiambo Commits to Boise State

Rees Odhiambo has given a verbal commitment to Boise State, according to confirmed sources. Odhiambo is a 6-3, 298-pound tackle at Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas. The Broncos continue to dip into Texas for hot young talent.

Boise State football has uncovered another hidden gem and he is the newest commitment of the 2011 class.

BroncoCountry has confirmed that Texas high school offensive lineman Rees Odhiambo (6-3, 298) has given a verbal commitment to Boise State. is Boise State's latest commitment for the Class of 2011. Odhiambo is from Legacy High School in Masnfield, Texas and is the latest in what is becoming a widening pipeline into the recruiting hotbed of Texas.

Boise State offered the promising tackle a month ago and were the first to offer. According to Legacy head coach Chris Melson, a lot of schools jumped on board but Odhiambo decided to commit to the Broncos. Odhiambo grew up in Kenya and has only been playing football for two years. Melson said Odhiambo is a weight room fanatic and has been improving by leaps and bounds since he joined the team as a sophomore.

Boise State coaches Brent Pease and Chris Strausser both visited with Odhiambo before the verbal commitment came.
