Liberty HS RB Jay Ajayi (Frisco, TX) took an unofficial visit to Boise State earlier this week and he decided to become a Bronco on Friday as he committed to the Blue and Orange. Boise State has experienced a lot of success in the 2011 class when it comes to recruiting the State of Texas. Ajayi is the third prospect out of Texas to commit to Boise State and he couldn't be happier with his decision to become a Bronco. "It just felt right. I felt confident about my decision," he said. "My parents were real excited because they saw the confidence I had in this decision," he added.

Jay (6'0, 200, 4.5) committed to the Bronco coaching staff while on a conference call and the "uniqueness" of the Boise State program set them apart from the other schools. "I like the uniqueness about them and the fact that they always do good during the season," Ajayi said. "I have a great relationship with Coach Bhonapha and my teammates. I really like the environment too." The talented RB also held offers from Minnesota, New Mexico State, Tulane, and Wyoming.

Boise State continues to make its presence known when it comes to recruiting in The Lone Star State. Ajayi believes he'll feel right at home with the Broncos having so many Texans already on the team. "It's great that they understand Texas talent. They'll be able to understand and relate to me without looking at me like I'm crazy," he said. "It'll be good to have some Texans on the team."

The future Bronco now has the recruiting process in the rearview mirror and this will allow him to focus on his senior season. "It's a relief that I can focus on my senior year," he said. "I want to have fun this year and I'm glad I won't have to worry about which college I'm going to go to," he added.

What can Bronco fans expect to see from Ajayi? "Just an explosive runner," he said. "I'm a do-it-all back. I always try to give them a show."

In 2009, Ajayi rushed for 1,627 yards and 20 TDs.
