Jarrett Paul

Insider Exclusive: Jarrett Paul '18 Visits BC

Cornerback Jarrett Paul, a 2018 recruit out of Christ The King Regional in New York, took an unofficial visit to Chestnut Hill this weekend. He spoke with Eagle Insider about his impressions of the Boston College program.

Jarrett Paul is a cornerback out of Christ The King Regional in New York set to graduate in 2018. The sophomore has been busy visiting Division 1 college programs and spent Saturday in Chestnut Hill watching Boston College fall to Virginia Tech.

Because Paul doesn't graduate for another two years, he doesn't have any offers yet. But in a text message interview, Paul told EagleInsider that besides BC he's also looking at Syracuse, Maryland, and North Carolina because he likes "the ACC style of play because passing is a big part of the ACC."

Scout.com has listed a plethora of programs interested in the young defensive back including Michigan, Rutgers, Michigan State, NC State, and Miami.

But for now, Paul is just looking for a school he could settle in to and find playing time on early in his collegiate career.

"It's a long time before I make a real decision," Paul said. Plus when I do make a decision it will be based highly on my comfort level with the program and having an early impact in the secondary."

Despite BC getting trounced 26-10 Saturday, Paul liked his visit to Alumni Stadium, as he was watching the secondary very closely throughout the game. "I was paying a lot of attention the the DB's," he said. "I can see why the staff is interested in me. The DB's have great size and coverage skills.

Paul spoke with some of the BC staff who he said that he's "definetly a guy that they're keeping an eye on for the 2018 class."

For now, Paul will continue to keep making highlights like the one's below at Christ The King and see what offers that will get him.
