Q&A: Jonathan Coleman

With Signing Day done, Eagle Insider will be following up the 2009 class. This is the second installment of a series of Q&A sessions. This time it is Jonathan Coleman, who tookk some time to talk with Eagle Insider.

Eagle Insider: Which coach played the biggest part in your recruitment to BC?

Jonathan Coleman: Coach Ryan Day.

Eagle Insider: Have you kept in touch with any BC players or fellow commitments?

JC: Yeah, on Facebook I have been talking to Mike Naples.

Eagle Insider: Who was your host on your official visit?

JC: Ifeanyi Momah, the 6-6 kid.

Eagle Insider: What was the reason you chose BC, other than big time football and great academics?

JC: First off, BC was the first big D-I school to come around and when Coach Day came to my high school he showed that he was a really good guy. And also when I went on the official visit I felt that I fit in with all the guys.

Eagle Insider: If I didn't choose BC, I would have gone to______.

JC: Probably would have gone to Villanova. Or I probably would have looked at Penn State, who offered right after BC did, but I didn't like Penn State because it was too big with too many people there.

Eagle Insider: Which home-cooked meal are you going to miss the most while at college?

JC: I love my grandmother's sweet potato pie, that's my favorite.

Eagle Insider: Funniest or most memorable moment or person from official visit?

JC: My most memorable moment was when we went to this real fancy restaurant, The Capitol Grille, and I had a 5 lb. lobster. It was good, I have never had lobster before, I would definitely eat it again.

Eagle Insider: Hottest celebrity you would like to go out with?

JC: I like Rihanna. Who I heard just got beat up by Chris Brown. I used to like Chris Brown before today. He messed up a good thing.

Eagle Insider: When at a party, what's your best line with a girl?

JC: (chuckles) I'm not really a party person. "Let's go to dinner or something." I don't know, who uses lines? (chuckles again)

Eagle Insider: Have you ever listened to a Tony Orlando album?

JC: No, never heard of him. Is he a rock star?

Eagle Insider: What do you listen to before a football game?

JC: I don't really like him as an artist but before a football game I listen to Lil Wayne.
