Q&A: Rolandan Finch

With Signing Day done, Eagle Insider will be following up the 2009 class. This is the fourth installment of a series of Q&A sessions. This time it is Rolandan Finch, who took some time to talk with Eagle Insider.

EI: Which coach played the biggest part in your recruitment to BC?

RF: Coach Sirmans, he was my recruiting coach.

EI: Have the coaches discussed what type of RB they want you to be?

RF: They haven't told me anything about that. They just told me to come there and compete.

EI: Have you kept in touch with any BC players or fellow commitments?

RF: I talked to Montel Harris the day I committed and told him. I talk to John Wetzel and Jim Noel every now and then.

EI: Who was your host on your official visit?

RF: Will Thompson.

EI: What was the reason you chose BC, other than big time football and great academics?

RF: I just really felt comfortable with all the players and every recruit committed while I was up there, and I was comfortable around them. So if you take the football and the education out of the equation, everybody was down to earth and everybody was cool. Seemed like the team hung out together, so that is what it was.

EI: If I didn't choose BC, I would have gone to______.

RF: Stanford or UK, one of them.

EI: Which home-cooked meal are you going to miss the most while at college?

RF: All of them, it is tough to pick out one. I like sweet potatoes but I am definitely going to miss home-cooked barbeque.

EI: Funniest or most memorable moment or person from official visit?

RF: Most memorable thing was probably me beating John Wetzel in video games, we were playing NCAA09.

EI: Hottest celebrity you would like to go out with?

RF: Meagan Good. She is an actress who goes out with New York Jets running back Thomas Jones.

EI: When at a party, what's your best line with a girl?

RF: Uhhhhh, I guess…here is my phone, put your number in it.

EI: How would you describe your game on the field at this point?

RF: I think I run with speed and power, with more of shiftiness than people think. I was in a good high school situation but I haven't really gotten to do a lot of things. I can catch the ball real well. I think I am a versatile back. I'm good in the open field and can run with power when I need to. I think I am an all around back when it comes to catching the ball and running the ball.

EI: What do you listen to before a football game?

RF: Depends what kind of mood I am in. Sometimes I don't listen to anything at all. If I had to listen to something it would Lil Wayne or Yo Gotti.
