EI: Which coach played the biggest part in your recruitment to BC?
JN: Coach Spaziani and Coach Commish. I really just felt comfortable with both coaches. I'm really happy with Coach Spaziani being the head coach, I felt more comfortable staying at BC with him getting the head coach position.
EI: What position have you been told you will be starting your BC career at?
JN: Right now they have my as a corner, but things could change over time depending on my size.
EI: How would you describe your game on the field at this point?
JN: I'm still trying to improve my game until I get to the college level. I am trying to get better. I'm thinking that I am going to get there, I think I am pretty good right now. But I am trying to get better.
EI: What do you listen to before a football game?
JN: I listen to the slow R&B songs, I don't listen to the rock stuff. I listen to Akon, sometimes Lil Wayne.
EI: Your assistant coach, Errol Randolph, was telling me that you have a couple little brothers…one that will be playing basketball in college and another football like yourself. So you've got a little brother (Nerlins who is presently a sophomore) that is better than you already on the basketball court??
JN: (chuckles) Yeah, he is better than me. I'll admit that.
EI: So he could beat you one on one?!
JN: Well, I don't know about that yet! He is better than me but I don't think he is better than me yet one on one.
EI: Your other brother (Rodman who is presently a junior) is more of a football player, is his play similar to your on the field?
JN: Yeah, we're somewhat alike.
EI: Who was your host on your official visit?
JN: My host was my former high school teammate Isaac Johnson.
EI: Funniest or most memorable moment or person from official visit?
JN: The funniest moment was when Thomas Claiborne ate the lobster brain (laughs), to get Conor O'Neal to commit. That was pretty funny. I was really shocked he ate the brain, I didn't think he was going to do it. Conor committed when he got back down to Florida. It was a good move by Thomas Claiborne to do that!
EI: Have you kept in touch with any BC players or fellow commitments?
JN: I talk to John Wetzel, Sterlin Phifer, Dillon Quinn, and a couple of the other recruits.
EI: What was the reason you chose BC, other than big time football and great academics?
JN: I just felt comfortable there. My heart was telling me the whole time, throughout the recruitment process, that BC was the place for me.
EI: If I didn't choose BC, I would have gone to______.
JN: Penn State.
EI: You came down to the wire with what school you were going to choose, were you still struggling with that decision on signing day? Was it just between BC and Penn State or was Maryland also in the mix?
JN: It came down to BC and Penn State, and I had made my decision before signing day.
EI: Which home-cooked meal are you going to miss the most while at college?
JN: I'll miss my mother's rice and chicken, I'm gonna miss that a lot.
EI: Hottest celebrity you would like to go out with, kind of like your dream girl?
JN: Ah man, I don't know…I think it would have to be Mariah Carey.
EI: When at a party, what's your best line with a girl?
JN: (cracks up into laughter) I don't know what my best line is….well, this one line I have been using for a while. I say that, ‘I scraped myself and need a band aid' and they say, ‘how?', and I say "I fell for them."
EI: That is a good line, has it worked?!
JN: Yeah, it's worked plenty of times.
