Bradley To Visit Boston College

Mike Bradley has become one of the most coveted big men in this recruiting cycle the Tennessee power forward has too many offers to count at this point. Rated as a four-star center/power forward by Scout, he is currently taking official visits to the schools he has the most interest. One of those programs in Boston College.

This is a critical time for basketball recruiting as players begin to take officials and narrow things down in time to make the November signing period. Boston College has two commitments for the class of 2010, but is looking to add more by signing day. One player in the mix is 6'10" center Michael Bradley.

He has set up an official with Boston College, but is still taking a look at what BC offers in terms of his academic interests.

"Yeah I might visit them. I hear they don't have a pharmacy major or a pharmacy school. It is all set up, but I'm still not sure. I don't know anyone who has done that, but it is something I'm looking for. I'm supposed to go up the first week of October."

The Eagles are not the only program in the mix. Other majors and a very long list of mid-majors have extended offers. Bradley has visited two of his schools so far and will be visiting others over the next few weeks.

"I've been to Georgia and Drake. I'm also schedule to go to UConn and BC. I go to UConn the week before I go to Boston College."

At 6'10", he is obviously a big at the college level. But, he is a versatile big man, not just a guy in the middle.

"I'm a power forward. I'm not just an inside guy. I can play inside and outside. I have a pretty good game from outside. Boston College says they want an athletic big man that can shoot and run. That's me."

This summer interest soared when he played for the Tennessee Tigers in AAU ball. He was not a starter, but his athletic ability and mental toughness showed scouts he has a very high ceiling at the next level.

"I played Tennessee Targets in the summer. It was pretty good. I faced a lot of good competition. It was good, I liked it. We went to two big tournaments. We went to Hoopfest and the AAU Nationals."

According to Scout's Dave Telep, Bradley is a little raw, but has the mental and physical makeup to be a top flight center in college.

"Bradley is the type of prospect without the hype or name but gets you excited when you see him because of the long term potential. He looks a lot like Damontre Harris pre-blow up. He's got excellent grades, comes from a small but winning high school team and can block shots. He slides neatly into the mold of a completely under the radar big fella. He's the guy the big colleges can't take because they don't have time to wait on his development and their fan bases scratch their heads when they recruit a zero rep guy. He could also be the guy mid-majors cultivate and ride to the NCAA Tournament."

BC got involved early and remains in the mix for the talented big man.

"BC just called me in the summer. Coach Duquette called and offered and I've been talking to him since the summer. I don't have any favorites or anything like that. I'll take my visits and make my decision. Boston College will probably be my last visit."

Mike Bradley is scheduled to visit BC on October 3rd, 2009.
