South Alabama had success last year in Arizona, signing cornerback Tyrell Pearson from Mesa Community College. It looks like the Jaguars have struck twice at the same school.
Mesa Community College head coach Ryan Felker says, "David Griffin, my big offensive tackle, committed to South Alabama."
Griffin (6-6 315) also had offers from Miami of Ohio and Florida Atlantic.
Felker comments on Griffin, "Grif is a high intensity guy with great feet. He really loves to play the game."
Griffin was recently named 1st team All ACCAC and 1st team All WSFL for his performance this season.
Griffin will have three years to play two and will be able to leave Mesa at midyear.
