Elijah Brown Signs NLI

Mater Dei (CA) High School Class of 2013 guard Elijah Brown officially joined the Butler family today when he signed his National Letter of Intent.

Elijah Brown has been committed to Butler for nearly 3 months, but finally made it official Wednesday afternoon.

The 6-foot 4 shooting guard signed his letter of intent, in front of family and friends, and sent it to the coaching staff. He officially became the 4th scholarship member of the Class of 2013.

Brown recently took his official visit to Butler and said he looks forward to next season in Indianapolis.

"Next year my outlook is very positive for our team as a whole, and myself individually," Brown said. "I know I'll put myself in a position to be a key part of the team next year, as well as a leader. I'm looking forward to just getting on the court with my guys and seeing how we fit and play collectively. Specifically I'm probably most excited about playing my first game in Hinkle, in front of the fans."

Brown joins forward Nolan Berry (MO), guard Rene Castro (MA), and forward Andrew Chrabascz (MA), who all signed in the early signing period in November.
