Shane Hall, a 6-foot 8 forward from Johnson Central (KY) High School has taken a few weeks to recover from the wear and tear of his high school season. As he prepares to head back to the court, Hall waits to see if schools will pick up their recruitment where they left off last fall.
Last summer Hall saw his recruitment blossom as he shined on the court, but with time off he has seen his recruitment shift into neutral.
Shane's father, Brad Hall, let InsideTheDawgPound know that there hasn't been any big changes in Shane's recruitment in the last month.
As far as the attention from Butler, Hall still hasn't heard from Butler recently, which could be in part due to coaching changes. Brad Hall told us last month that Matthew Graves, the new head coach at South Alabama, had done most of the recruiting of Hall for the Bulldogs.
"Coach Graves, at the time, had done most of the main recruiting," Brad Hall said. "We talk with Coach Stevens as well. He spent a lot of time with Shane when we toured campus, and that's when they offered."
Hall waits to hear from Butler again.
"(We) have not heard from Butler since we talked," Brad Hall said.
Putting an end to his absence from AAU basketball in the summer could spark Butler, and other schools, to continue their pursuit.
Up next Hall plans to participate in the Indiana/Kentucky Junior All-Star games in Indianapolis on June 7th and Louisville on June 8th.
