Part 1 - Off the Court

IDP: When do you arrive on campus?

SB: Summer school for incoming freshman starts June 24, so that's when I'll be heading over there for good.

IDP: Who are you rooming with?

SB: Nolan Berry, the 6-8 power forward from Missouri. I haven't talked to him yet, but I'm excited to get to know him. I've heard he's a great player.

IDP: When do classes start? What class are you most excited about?

SB: Well our summer classes start June 24, August 28 is when the fall classes do. I'm probably most excited about my chemistry class, I'm pretty into classes of that type.

IDP: What parts of campus are you most excited about exploring?

SB: None in particular, I'm just excited to get over there and start the next stage of my life. College is a big change and I'm looking forward to it.

IDP: What are you looking forward to most about living in Ross Hall? Least excited about?

SB: I'm most excited just to be living with some of my new teammates and getting to know them all year, nothing that I'm not really excited about. The only thing I can think of is maybe not getting to sleep in my water bed I have here at home, I love that thing.

IDP: What are you going to miss most from your hometown?

SB: Probably just the family and friends I've spent my entire childhood growing up with. There's a lot of memories.

IDP: What are your "must-have" items for your dorm room?

SB: I'd say a mini fridge, my Beats or an iHome, and some type of desk area for work. I hate trying to write and read in awkward positions.

IDP: What is the last song that you played on your itunes (iPhone/iPod)?

SB: Money and the Power by Kid Ink. I'm pretty in to Hip-Hop or R&B.

IDP: Describe your personality for the fans to get to know you better.

SB: I'd say I'm a pretty laid back person when it comes to things outside of basketball or school. As long as I get what I feel like needs to be done, I'm pretty much down for anything, and like probably what most other basketball guys like. I like to help people and make them laugh, and most of the time I'm not very opinionated on things, and kind of just like to be a congenial kind of guy on most things.

IDP: Name one talent you have that is not related to basketball?

SB: I wish I could say singing, I love to sing, but I'm not very good. Probably Call of Duty, I'm pretty competitive with video games and I like to make sure I'm good at them.
