Recruiting Buzz: Open Season Begins

12:01am on June 1st has come and gone and the relentless grind of recruiting has begun. Prospects phones have started to ring off the hook with texts and calls and here are a couple of notes on players Butler is pursuing in the Class of 2015.

Fleming Already Hears from Butler, Nebraska

Class of 2015 shooting guard didn't have to wait long to hear from Butler after the June 15th start date.

The 6-foot 4 junior-to-be at Ensworth (TN) had a couple of messages before he even work up this morning.

"Coach Johnson from Butler has already texted me this morning before i woke up," Fleming said. "As well as Nebraska. I believe Nebraska's coach is calling me today and it may be an offer."

Fleming also got a few texts from Davidson as we were talking.

Fleming currently still holds offers from just Auburn, Florida, and Vanderbilt, but that is sure to chance in the coming days.

Jordan May Favor Schools Close to Home

Look for junior-to-be Aaron Jordan to favor schools that are close to home in the end.

I spoke to someone close with the Class of 2015 shooting guard who said that Aaron is "very close" with his family.

The source also said that "Aaron is going to find a place that has high academics and high ambitions to play for championships."

Butler certainly fits the mold of a school the source refers to, therefore look for Butler to be in the mix should they come through with an offer.

The Plainfield East (IL) High School standout has received a few offers including Wisconsin, Creighton, and a few others thus far.
