Butler has missed on a few 2014 point guards but has found another to target by offering Blanche Ely (FL) High School's Lance Tejada.
Butler has had a lot of success in the State of Florida over the past few seasons. The Bulldogs have gained a number of commitments including Khyle Marshall, Devontae Morgan, and Shawn Vanzant.
Now Butler has found its latest target, Lance Tejada.
The 6-foot 1 lead-guard from Pompano Beach also has picked up offers from Texas A&M, Florida State, Alabama, and a few others.
The senior-to-be had an impressive season last year averaging nearly 12 points, 8.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game for Blanche Ely, who won the Class 7A Championship in Florida and finished 27-2.
Tejada shot 49% from the field, 34% from 3-point range, and 65% from the free-throw line.
However, his scoring is improving, as seen at the Bob Gibbons AAU Tournament of Champions this spring where Tejada averaged 23.2 points and even scored 38 points in one of the games.
Tejada is the pass-first point guard that the Bulldogs seem to be searching for to lead the Class of 2014 after missing out on Chris Chiozza and Tyler Ulis.
Butler has been active in the Florida in 2014 by also expressing interest in guards B.J. Taylor and Justin Gray.
