Butler Offer Official for Kennard

Luke Kennard has gathered a number of offers from high major programs including Michigan and Notre Dame, but an offer that has been in the works for some time finally became official

Franklin (OH) High School standout Luke Kennard had received a lot of attention since the June 15th startdate of unlimited texts and phone calls to Class of 2015 prospects.

Since the 15th, the 4-star prospect had received new offers from Notre Dame and Michigan.

An offer that Kennard and others had thought would be on the horizon was from Butler, and on Wednesday night the offer finally became official.

"(I was) offered yesterday over the phone," Kennard said.

Butler joins a large list of schools that have offered Kennard including Indiana, Ohio State, Purdue, West Virginia, Xavier, Cincinnati, Notre Dame, and Michigan.

Kennard has also been receiving interest from Michigan State, North Carolina, and Clemson.

Butler's offer came as Kennard starts to focus his search even more closely.

With the offer Kennard said that Butler is "very high" on his list and said that he isn't ready to narrow his list to a top 5 or 10 today and that "it's hard to cut down to that."

Butler has been in contact with Kennard so so long and stands in good position to make the cut, especially with the offer, whenever that will be.

Butler currently doesn't have a commit in the Class of 2014 or 2015.
