His visit to the camp, and excellent play, resulted in an offer from the Bulldogs.
Since then, Macura has picked up offers from a number of different schools including Florida State, Xavier, and Iowa State. Along with the new offers, Macura has been getting increased interest from in-state Minnesota.
While the attention is mounting, Macura returns back to Butler for his second visit of the month.
Impact of a Macura Commitment?
Obviously it would be huge for Butler because they don't have anyone committed in the Class of 2014. A commitment from a 4-star, Top 100 prospect would kick-start the class in a big way. Also, Butler has been getting commitments from all over the country and this would again prove that Butler can get players from practically anywhere.
On the court it would give Butler yet another shooter on the perimeter to stretch the defense and create spacing. Not only is Macura a great shooter, which is rare in the Class of 2014, but he has more to his game than just the jumper. After reviewing a little bit of tape of the 6-foot 5 guard, he has a similar game to sophomore Kellen Dunham, but might be a little more fluid putting the ball on the floor. He finds ways to score and is efficient on offense.
