Although Tyler Wideman's Meanstreets AAU team finished 3-3 at Peach Jam, it was a successful trip for the 6-foot 6, 270 pound forward.
The Lake Central (IN) High School center has very good strength and uses that to his advantage in the post. That strength is shown by Wideman's rebounding acumen and efficiency in the post, which caught the attention of a few coaches. He recently picked up an offer from Bradley and now Butler has offered as well.
Coach Brandon Miller extended the offer to Wideman on Tuesday.
At Peach Jam Wideman averaged 6.7 points, 7.8 rebounds (3.3 offensive rebounds per game) in just under 20 minutes per game. He shot 14/17 (82%) from the FT line and 13/27 (48%) from the field.
Miller and assistant Terry Johnson were in attendance for the majority of the event in North Augusta, SC.
Wideman's has offers thus far from Bradley, Butler, Indiana State, and a few others.
