The July evaluation period has ended and Brandon Miller and the Butler coaching staff is getting ready to head to the South Pacific for a team trip to Australia, but before they leave the Bulldogs hosted an important visitor for the second time this year.
Rising 2015 shooting guard Aaron Jordan visited Butler again to watch practice. He had visited campus earlier this spring before the coaching change. While at Butler this time he picked up an offer from the Bulldogs.
"The assistant, coach Johnson, sat me down in the office and coach Miller walked in," Jordan said. "We talked about education and basketball, before he offered me a scholarship."
The Plainfield (IL) East guard is an ultra-competitive, smooth scoring guard that has had an impressive spring and summer for the Illinois Stars and now has offers from Butler, Illinois, Wisconsin, Creighton, and a few mid majors.
While watching coach Miller and the Bulldogs work through practice in Hinkle Fieldhouse, Jordan liked what he saw.
"I love his (Miller's) style," Jordan said. "Simply because I can see myself playing in it."
Jordan will continue to see the offers pile up and garner interest from around the country. There isn't any rush for Jordan to make a decision, being in the class of 2015, and he will look to make it after the upcoming year. Despite that, the offer certainly made Jordan look at his list a little closer. He said that the Butler offer ranked "near the top" of his list.
