INDIANAPOLIS (IN) - Over the past year Evan Boudreaux has seen his stock continue to rise due to his rugged play in the post, both offensively and defensively.
The talented junior is having a spectacular start to his season. He has led Lake Forest (IL) High School to a 6-2 start to the regular season. He is averaging nearly 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 3 assists per game for the Scouts.
His impressive play this summer for Team NLP and now for Lake Forest has helped Boudreaux grab multiple offers including his latest from Bucknell last week. The 2015 forward has offers from Iowa, DePaul, Boston College, Iowa State, St. Louis, and Northwestern to go along with his offer from the Bison.
"A lot of schools have been picking up the interest lately," Boudreaux explained. "Mostly the same schools I've been mentioned with."
One school that has shown interest, but has yet to offer Boudreaux, is Butler. The Bulldogs have actively recruited him over the course of the past two years. The Bulldogs have always kept their foot in the door of his recruitment and recently reached out to him.
"Coach Lewis has been texting me recently," Boudreaux said. "He always sent me periodic texts, but that's been about it from Butler."
With no offer on the table from the Bulldogs to date, Butler remains on the outside looking in for the talented Illinois native. If the Bulldogs were to offer, Boudreaux would definitely consider what Butler had to offer.
Even with the seven offers on the table, Boudreaux isn't ready to start narrowing down his list yet. He continues to evaluate his potential destinations and will make a decision later this year.
"I'm probably going to end it this summer or next fall."
In the meantime, Boudreaux hopes to help Lake Forest continue their winning ways as the Scouts look to extend their three game winning streak when they take on Waukegan (IL) High School on Saturday.
