Berry Leaves Butler

Freshman center Nolan Berry has decided to transfer from Butler.

INDIANAPOLIS (IN) - Yet another players has decided to leave the Butler basketball program. Freshman center Nolan Berry has decided to leave Butler the school announced on Monday afternoon.

The freshman from St. Louis, MO saw action in 18 games this season averaging 5 minutes per appearance. He scored 1.9 points, grabbed 1.3 rebounds and had 0.2 blocks per game.

"We appreciate the effort that Nolan gave us this year, and we wish him well as moves forward," said Butler head coach Brandon Miller in a statement released by the school.

Berry has been granted a release from his scholarship and could look to transfer to a school closer to home.

Since the coaching change last year four players have decided to transfer including Berry, Andrew Smeathers, Rene Castro, and Devontae Morgan.

Now the Bulldogs look to regroup by adding more players in the class of 2014, 2015, and potentially transfers from other schools.
