Etherington Finds Perfect Fit

Indiana transfer Austin Etherington has chosen Butler after a visit on Saturday.

INDIANAPOLIS (IN) - With all the players leaving Butler after this season, head coach Brandon Miller and his coaching staff have multiple scholarship offers to work with in the class of 2014 and transfer market.

The Bulldogs have landed one of the transfers that they targeted.

Austin Etherington, a redshirt sophomore this past season at Indiana, has committed to Butler after a visit Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot 6 forward nearly chose Butler the first time around, but after transferring from Indiana in the off-season, finally found his perfect fit at Butler.

"It's Butler," his father Brett Etherington said. "It was between IU and Butler four years ago. Both are amazing schools with great basketball tradition. Perfect fit!"

Etherington will be immediately eligible next season and will have two years of eligibility left at Butler after graduating this summer from Indiana in just three years.

The Cicero, IN native averaged 2.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, 0.5 assists in 10.6 minutes per game this past season for the Hoosiers.

Etherington is the second transfer this off-season to commit to Butler. Former North Carolina State point guard Tyler Lewis also selected Butler a few weeks ago.
