Battle 4 Atlantis Bracket Release

Butler will meet North Carolina in the the 1st round of the 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis.

INDIANAPOLIS (IN) - The 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis has a loaded field including potential pre-season top 10 teams Wisconsin, Florida, and North Carolina. On Tuesday, the bracket was released announcing the pairings for the 1st round on November 26th.

The Bulldogs will meet the North Carolina Tarheels at Noon on ESPN2.

Butler will be led by junior guard Kellen Dunham, who returns to Indianapolis after leading the Bulldogs in scoring at 16.4 points per game last season and Roosevelt Jones, who returns to the court after missing last season with a wrist injury.

Senior forward Kameron Woods, who nearly averaged a double-double for much of last season (7.5 points, 9 rebounds) and sophomore Andrew Chrabascz look lead the front court, which added three freshman (Tyler Wideman, Jackson Davis, and Kelan Martin).

North Carolina boasts a talented squad led by junior forward Brice Johnson (10.3 points and 6.1 rebounds) and junior guard Marcus Paige (17.5 points and 4.2 assists).

The last meeting between the two teams was won by Butler, 82-71 at the 2012 Maui Invitational. Butler was led by Kellen Dunham with 17 points on 5/10 shooting including 5/9 from three.

Wisconsin will meet UAB and Georgetown will meet Florida on the top of the bracket, while Oklahoma and UCLA will square off Butler's half of the bracket.

Butler finished 14-17 (4-14) in their first season in the Big East, missing the NCAA tournament, while North Carolina received a 6-seed in the NCAA Tournament finishing 24-10 and falling to Iowa State in the 3rd Round.
