INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Butler and head coach Chris Holtmann continue to be aggressive on the recruiting trail.
After an overtime win in Milwaukee over Marquette last weekend, Butler coaches returned to Indianapolis to take in a few local games including Park Tudor (IN) against North Central (IN). One of the premier targets in that game is 5-star 2017 forward Kris Wilkes.
Wilkes returned the favor on Saturday by visiting Butler and Hinkle Fieldhouse prior to the game against DePaul. It was on that visit that coach Holtmann and the Bulldogs offered the talented sophomore.
"It was really good to get that offer," Wilkes told InsideTheDawgPound. "They told me I am the first player in the class that they offered so that means a lot. Butler is a great program and it is close to home."
After his visit to Butler today, Wilkes will be on the road to Bloomington on Sunday to visit Indiana.
Stay turned for the latest on Wilkes' recruitment as Holtmann and the staff have definitely made him a priority.
