INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After winning their 5th straight game in the Big East and staring at a showdown for 1st place with #7 Villanova next weekend, Butler coaches didn't take the night off. The Bulldogs extended their 2nd offer for the class of 2017.
The latest offer goes to Park Tudor (IN) High School sophomore Jaren Jackson.
Jackson took an unofficial visit to Butler tonight for the game against DePaul afterwards he headed to the locker room and talked with the coaches.
Over the years Butler has recruited a number of prospects from Park Tudor in the past, but hasn't been able to land the last two big time prospects in Yogi Ferrell (Indiana) and Trevon Bluiett (Xavier).
The 6-foot-8 forward is an extremely high upside prospect with length and athleticism. He is currently rated as the #46 player in the class of 2017.
Butler joins the likes of IUPUI, Indiana, and Purdue in offering Jackson.
Chris Holtmann continues to be aggressive on the recruiting trail. He offered 2017 wing Kris Wilkes during an unofficial visit to Butler earlier in the day. He has also tracked North Carolina forward David Caraher well along with Southport guard Paul Scruggs.
The Bulldogs are looking for their 1st commitment in both classes.
