While playing at Highland High School (ID), BYU offered Tristen Hoge who became one of the top offensive line prospects in the nation. The 2015 class All-American chose Notre Dame despite holding offers from P5 programs from coast-to-coast. Now Hoge has transferred from Notre Dame to BYU, where he feels he is finally coming home.

With the stands packed more fully than in previous years, BYU’s annual spring game was a great success for first year Cougar head coach Kalani Sitake and his new staff. There was excitement in the air as a rejuvenated fan base turned out in droves to see BYU’s revamped offense square up against Coach Sitake’s vaunted defense.

The BYU quarterback position will be a little deeper come signing day. Kentucky QB Beau Hoge, the son of former NFL running back and current ESPN commentator Merrill Hoge, is making it known he’ll sign with BYU come National Letter of Intent Day. He’s looking forward to heading down this weekend for BYU’s big recruiting weekend.

BYU got a commitment from a 2015 quarterback from the state of Kentucky with a familiar last name to many BYU fans. Beau Hoge was on BYU’s campus last weekend when he was offered a football scholarship by Bronco Mendenhall. He made it official that he’ll sign as a Cougar and talked about it.
