BYU Hoops Recap: Long Beach State

The BYU Men’s Basketball Team opened their 2014-15 season at home when they hosted the Long Beach State 49ers at the Marriott Center on Friday evening. The Cougars started the season with a hard fought 95-90 win and move to 1-0 to begin the season.

BYU basketball began their 2014-15 season with 95-90 victory over Long Beach State on Friday evening. Tyler Haws led the Cougars in the win with 21 points as BYU moves to 1-0 on the season.

BYU guards Skyler Halford and Chase Fischer also talked with the media after the game. Fischer finished the game with 17 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal in his first game in a BYU uniform. Halford starred off the bench finishing the game with 18 points and 7 assists. Here are their postgame comments:

BYU will be back in action next Tuesday when they host the University of Arkansas-Little Rock at the Marriott Center. Tipoff in that game is set for 7:30 PM MT.
