West Mesquite WR To Visit BYU

West Mesquite High School in Texas has a 6-4, 210-pound wide receiver by the name of Donte Coleman that will be coming to BYU in January for an unofficial visit. Although Coleman hasn’t been offered yet, he’ll be coming up to Provo, Utah with a teammate that has been offered by BYU.

The BYU Cougars are currently down in Miami, Florida getting set to face the Memphis Tigers. Watching the game will be a few recruits and some potential prospects from the state of Texas.

“I know BYU and Coach (Guy) Holliday are down in Miami, Florida right now getting ready for their bowl game,” said West Mesquite wide receiver Donte Coleman. “They’re down there getting ready to do their thing and play Memphis.”

Coleman has received some recruiting interest from BYU and BYU wide receivers head coach Guy Holliday. Coleman mentioned that he’s planning on taking an unofficial visit to BYU next month.

“Things are going alright and Coach Holliday is good. I’m supposed to be coming up there for a visit next month,” Coleman said. “I’m supposed to go up there in January to check things out and see how it is.”

Coleman is planning on visiting BYU with 2015 recruit Trevor Brent. Brent is a 5-10, 170-pound cornerback who also plays for West Mesquite High school and has received an offer from the BYU coaching staff along with offers from Boise State and Yale.

“Yeah, he’s (Trevor Brent) been offered by BYU and is supposed to be coming out there in January too,” said Coleman. “I’m going to be coming out there with him to check things out and see how it is.”
