The BYU Cougars held Day 5 of spring practices on Thursday morning in Provo, UT and players and coaches spoke about it after practice at the Student Athlete Building. BYU head coach Kalani Sitake addressed how the team is doing one-third the way through spring practices, what his offensive line situation looks like (the center position in particular), and what he is doing to help get guys in the best positions to play at the next level potentially. Tight end Josh Weeks took some time to talk to the media about his position change as he is transitioning from an inside receiver to playing a more traditional tight end position in Ty Detmer's offense. Weeks talked about how the move is benefiting him, which players are running with the first team at tight end in practice, and what he sees the role of the tight end being for BYU in 2016. Offensive lineman Tuni Kanuch showed off his upbeat personality during his press conference. Ever the optimist, Kanuch addressed his health concerns of the past few seasons, explained how he's stepping into a leadership role on the line, and laid out what his relationship is like with the new offensive coaches. He also talked about the return of Jamaal Williams to the squad and how Jamaal has become a vocal leader on the team. Check out Tuni's press session here:
