Austin McChesney Settling in at Corner

BYU defensive back Austin McChesney went one-on-one with Jake Hatch on Tuesday to talk about playing in the defensive secondary for the Cougars, examine how he feels the team is playing, and talk about their upcoming game against Toledo

Austin McChesney was a name many BYU fans were unfamiliar with before the 2016 season kicked off. The former Lone Peak High School (UT) star had originally been slated to play wide receiver for the Cougars after returning from his mission. He made the transition to cornerback and says it's been an adjustment for him but that he's happy to be on the field and contributing so early in his collegiate career. He took some time to also talk about playing for cornerbacks coach Jernaro Gilford and what it's like to be playing alongside other young players at cornerback. He said that the Toledo Rockets will pose a stiff challenge for BYU this Friday due to their balanced offensive attack and talented skill players.
