BYU has been looking for someone to replace Jamaal Williams at running back after Williams' graduation. The coaching staff has turned their eye to the defensive backfield and Matt Hadley as potential option. The senior will spend this spring working out as a running back for Ty Detmer and the BYU offense. He talked about the position change today.

Matt Hadley won’t be making any tackles or attempting to intercept passes as a defensive back this spring for the BYU Cougars.
