Recruiting Update: Marcus Mailei

Total Blue Sports recently spoke with the top fullback recruit in the state of Utah. Just home from a recruiting trip, Marcus Mailei just gave TBS the rundown on who he is hearing from and what direction he is leaning at the moment.

As the new coach of Weber State, Ron McBride is doing all he can to recruit the top football players in the area. Marcus Mailei is one of the top full backs in Utah, and just came off a great visit to Weber State.

"I just got back this weekend from Weber State." Mailei said. "It was great, the coaches really want me to go there, and I think I might end up there."

Marcus said he official offers from SUU, Idaho St. and Weber St. The 6'1, 230 lbs fullback has also received interest from Nebraska.

"The Nebraska coach is coming to my house this week." Mailei said. "I think they are going to try and get me to walk on. But I just have to wait and see, because I need to tell them that I plan on a mission."

Marcus said that the University of Utah coaches inquired about him, but never offered a scholarship. He said that Coach Reynolds told one of Marcus's cousins to have him give him a call, but Marcus never followed through with the request, and hasn't heard anymore from BYU.

Marcus who runs a 4.5 forty said that he was named to the all regional team, and was named one of Utah's top 10 football recruits by Scout.com.
