Football season ended nearly two months ago in the frozen tundra of Alaska. One Alaskan prep standout is anxious to learn how many more months he will have to wait to step onto a football field again.
A few months ago TBS caught up with 6'4" 260-pound defensive lineman Papapa Nicholas-Silvira
from Kenai, Alaska. At the time he was hearing from a lot of schools, including BYU
"Right now the only schools that I'm hearing from are Washington, and Oregon State," Papapa said. "I haven't heard from BYU in a while."
Papapa said that Washington and Oregon St. are telling him to hold tight, while they figure out if they have scholarship available for him.
"They said it could come down to the end of January," Papapa said. "I like both of those schools, so I'm just waiting on them."
Papapa said because he is not sure if those two schools will come through with offers, so he plans on contacting other schools himself to see if they are interested.
