2007 Prospect Receives Early Interest

Letters of intent from the recruiting class of 2006 will not come in for two more days, but TBS is already scoping out prospective members of the class of 2007. One California junior lineman already has the skills to garner looks from big time programs.

Sam DeMartinis, a huge 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive lineman from Sherman Oaks, California, is already hearing from many major programs across the country.

"USC was at my school recently," said DeMartinis. "They were looking at tape on me and another lineman we have."

Right now the four-star recruit said USC, UCLA, and San Diego State (where his brother Tony plays) are three of his early favorites. He is also receiving a lot of attention from Florida St., Nebraska, ASU, Arizona, Florida, and UNLV.

DeMartinis was named all-state underclassman, 1st team all-CIF, Mission League Lineman MVP. He plays tackle, and says his strengths are his aggressiveness, tenacity, and overall technique.

Scout.com has BYU listed as a school of interest but Sam said he is not LDS, and has not heard from BYU in a while.
