What exactly are we talking about? Well, how does it reflect on a program and its fans when the ESPN2 cameras pan across the stands and every other seat is empty? On the other hand, what does it say about a school when the cameras cannot find an empty seat in a facility that holds over 21,000?
If you are among the BYU faithful who prefer the latter scenario for their team, we have a battle cry for you:
"Wear Blue on the 2"
That's right, Cougar fans. Show pride in your school and love for your team by showing up at the Marriott Center this Saturday evening wearing BYU blue for the game on ESPN2.
BYU has a young, but very talented and exciting team this year. The squad works its collective tail off in practice and the results are reflected on the court and by their 14-7 record and third place conference standing.
The Cougars are perfect at home in conference play, but that record will be tested by the Runnin' Rebels. UNLV beat BYU by 10 in Las Vegas and is in second place in the Mountain West.
A sea of blue-clad fans cheering on their team could go a long way toward preserving the Cougars' Marriot Center magic. According to the ticket office, there are still a lot of seats available, and a $5 ticket for an upper bowl seat will not break the bank.
As you TBSers are making plans this weekend remember the battle cry, "Wear Blue on the 2." When you hear other Cougar fans wondering what to do with their Saturday, what will you tell them? That's right, "Wear Blue on the 2."
Get the word out and get it out quickly so the nation can see that the Cougars still got game and they are playing to a packed, blue house.
