Havili Taking the JC Route?

Letter of Intent day has come and gone, but star RB Stanley Havili is still the center of talk amongst football fans. Rumors have circulated about Havili possibly going the JC route. TotalBlueSports.com caught up with Stanley to see what is and is not true.

"Yeah, I've heard all these rumors too," Stanley Havili laughed, "but there not true. I'm graduating from high school on the 2nd and heading to USC for summer school the next day. I'm really excited to get down to USC, the coaches have told me to make sure I come ready to work hard."

Stanley could see immediate playing time at USC with the injury bug hitting the USC backfield this spring. However Havili will have his work cut out for him as he tries to rise above the rest of the many RB recruits that USC signed this year.

As far as mission plans go, Havili is still undecided. He is focused on his freshman season and will address that issue when he turns 19 and his first season is over.

"I will pray about it when its time." Havili said. "If the Lord says I need to serve a mission I will go. Hopefully the coaches at USC would let me come back after my mission, if I decide to go, but I may also stay and play 4 years straight at USC."
