In the past, Utah athletes had to travel to out-of-state locations like California or Texas to perform at a combine, and as a result, Utah prospects received limited national recruiting exposure. The UHFC is close to home, so it enables more in-state prospects to prove their abilities to college coaches.
Athletes at the combine can test in the follow areas:
- 185-pound bench press
- 40-yard dash
- Vertical jump
- Standing long jump
- Standing reach
- 1-on-1s (WRs v. DBs)
TotalBlueSports.com will be out in force at the combine so be sure to check back tonight and throughout the week for reports on the event as well as text, audio and video interviews with the participants, including many BYU prospects.
