Cougar Conversations with FB Inoke Hafoka

During spring camp Cougar fans learn and hear about the new faces that have joined the team. One such football player that has drawn interest from BYU fans is big 5-foot-11-inch, 240-pound Tongan freshman fullback Inoke Hafoka.

On the first day of practice, he was easy to recognize, and it was easy to ask the question, "Who is this big ol' number 30?" Recently-returned from an LDS mission, Inoke Hafoka is BYU's newest fullback and joins Manase Tonga and Joe Semanoff as backfield bulldozers.

Hailing out of East High School, Hafoka joins former high school teammate Fui Vakapuna once again in BYU's backfield. The two played together for a time while at East High School, as Hafoka led the way for Vakapuna. Hafoka hopes to resume old responsibilities for his old high school teammate while at BYU.

Now you can listen to the big, yet soft-spoken Hafoka in his own words as he tells his personal story, and talks about how things are going for him now that he has put on the helmet and pads as BYU's newest Cougar fullback.
