Cougar Snapshots: BYU vs. CSU

Once again, Harvey Unga played a key part in the Cougars' victory as they defended their home turf at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Max Hall Has Big Day

Sophomore quarterback Max Hall lit up the stat sheet and the scoreboard by throwing for 355 yards and three touchdowns against the Rams.

Ben Criddle Brings The Hat

Senior boundary cornerback Ben Criddle brought his tough, physical game last Saturday. Criddle currently has 15 solo tackles and 12 assisted tackles on the season. He also grabbed his second interception of the season during Saturday's game.

The Cougar defense has allowed seven points or fewer in six of the last 10 home games, and 10 points or fewer in eight of those 10 games.

Tonga breaks through the CSU defensive line.

Tonga currently has 60 rushes for 210 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.

Fui Vakapuna Of The Tongan Trio

Fui Vakapuna breaks to the outside. Vakapuna adds his bruising style of play to the mixture of BYU's backfield.

Austin Collie Scores A TD

After being hampered due to a minor leg injury, Austin Collie had a breakout game against the young secondary of CSU. He ended the day with eight catches for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Jan Jorgensen Gets Another One

Sophomore defensive end Jan Jorgensen currently leads the Cougar defense in sacks, and recorded a career-high 2.5 sacks during the CSU game.

Unga Makes A Move

Unga makes a CSU defender miss with a little shake and bake as he heads downfield. Unga had 161 total yards on the day, including three catches for 110 yards.


During the CSU game, Collie recorded his second 100-yard game of the season. He had 121 receiving yards against Tulsa earlier in the season.
