Cougar Snapshots: BYU vs. UNI

Total Blue Sports photographer Troy Verde was on the sidelines Saturday to capture the Cougars' victory over the Panthers at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Now you can relive some of the moments of the Cougars' season opener in this edition of Cougar Snapshots.

Max Hall's cousin Reed White makes his first college catch, one that nearly went for a touchdown.

Harvey Unga

Running Back Harvey Unga scampers in for one of his three touchdowns. Unga ran for two and caught one in the Cougars' 41-17 victory over UNI.

Unga finished the day with 18 carries for 65 yards, averaging 3.6 yards per carry. He also caught six passes for 47 yards.

Jan Jorgensen

Cougar defensive end Jan Jorgensen lines up in the trenches. He ended the game with one solo tackle, four assisted tackles and one sack for a loss of eight yards.

Max Hall

BYU quarterback Max Hall surveys the field and winds up for the pass. Hall completed 34-of-41 passes for 486 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He completed an outstanding 82.9 percent of his passes.

Jorgensen nearly comes up with a safety by sacking Panther quarterback Pat Grace in the end zone.

David Nixon lays the wood to Grace. Grace was helped off the field three times by Panther trainers.

Coleby Clawson

BYU outside linebacker Coleby Clawson hits Grace. The hit caused a fumble and sent Grace to the sidelines for the last time.

Cougar defensive end Ian Dulan lines up for the snap.

O'Neill Chambers

True freshman O'Neill Chambers returns a kick. Chambers had 108 total yards on special teams play in his first game as a Cougar.

Dennis Pitta

Tight end Dennis Pitta has an outstanding game, hauling in 11 passes for 213 yards and an average of 19.4 yards per catch.
