After previously placing BYU on top of his top five list, Phillips has a new favorite.
"My top five would have Michigan on top right now," related Phillips. "They're followed by BYU, then Central Michigan, then Michigan State, and then SMU in that order."
Phillips felt he performed very well at both Michigan's and Central Michigan's camps, recording a 4.39 forty time among other feats.
"I was the top back at the Michigan camp and they seemed very interested in me," said Phillips. "I really enjoyed the camp up there and hopefully I get an offer from them."
Phillips enjoyed Michigan's facilities, which he listed among the reasons why Michigan is on top of his current list. Phillips will continue interacting with Michigan coaches while waiting to see what offers they send his way.
Although Phillips has a new favorite, he made it clear to TBS that he wouldn't just automatically commit to Michigan if the Wolverine coaches extended an offer.
"I still really like BYU and other schools," explained Phillips. "If Michigan offers, then they'd sure be hard to turn down, but I'm going to consider all my options and see which one is best for me."
