Cougars Caught on Film

TBS photographer Troy Verde was at Friday's scrimmage snapping some more great shots. It was the Cougars' first full scrimmage of spring practice. Here are some of the images he was able to capture.

Matt Reynolds leads offensive linemen Austin Nielsen, Houston Reynolds and Jason Speredon onto the practice field.

Houston Reynolds is close to returning to participating fully in practice and will make a bid for the starting center spot this fall.

True freshman Brad Wilcox has seen a lot of reps this spring and looks to have a lot of potential.

Harvey Unga has a big smile after catching a pass during warm-ups before the scrimmage.

Offensive coordinator Robert Anae instructs receiver O'Neill Chambers.

Receiver McKay Jacobson has looked extremely good this spring now that he's more than a full year removed from his mission service and is fully healthy.

True freshman Jake Heaps throws a pass to fellow true freshman Devin Mahina. Both players have looked very good this spring and are making strong bids to start at their respective positions.

Riley Nelson had a very good scrimmage as he led the team to three touchdowns, with two of those touchdowns coming by virtue of long completions.

Running back Joshua Quezada has impressed so far in practices and has seen a lot of work as he makes his bid to be the second-string running back behind Harvey Unga.

Wide receiver Rhen Brown has seen a lot of reps recently and has contributed nicely during the past couple of practices.

J.D. Falsev hauls in a pass over his shoulder. He's been seeing most of his reps from the slot position, which has seen a resurgence this spring.
