All-Poly Camp Photos

Ryan Villenueve and Chris Haakey helped capture the recent All-Poly Camp – held in Bountiful, Utah – with these photos. Now you can see some of the action from the three-day event.

Las Vegas outside linebacker Trajen Pili, a soon-to-be-sophomore, runs through coverage drills with linebacker Va'a Niumatalolo, the son of Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo.

West High School running back Erik Takanaki breaks a tackle and gets past three other defenders while on his way to the end zone. Takanaki was one of the top running backs at the All-Poly Camp.

Takanaki prepares to clean up the pile as linebacker Cody McCarthy (in the background) from Idaho makes the first hit.

The defense, led by McCarthy (who can be seen on the ground in the yellow and black jersey), makes a tackle. McCarthy said he has offers from Washington State, Navy, Idaho and Idaho State, and also claims that Boise State, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Utah State are actively recruiting him.

Pili, only 14 years old, locks up another camp participant during drills.

Niumatalolo is seen here during one-on-one drills with Pili. Pili received a verbal offer from BYU last week.

Bingham High School sophomore defensive tackle Lowell Lotulelei could be the next in a long line of Division I prospects to come out of Jordan, Utah. Lotulelei, the younger brother of former BYU commit and current Utah defensive lineman Star Lotulelei, claims a verbal offer from the Utes.

A hard-hitting defense keeps running back Leon Jenkins from Tacoma, Washington just out of reach of the end zone.

University of Utah defensive coordinator Kalani Sitaki gives a demonstration on how to perform a handoff drill.

Bingham High School cornerback K.J. Filiaga comes up for bump-and-run coverage during a scrimmage.

A running back makes it out on the edge and turns up the heat just out of reach of pursuing defenders.

Jenkins tries to find a hole through the line during Saturday's scrimmage.

Many college coaches can be seen in this picture. Can you name who they are? Hint: there are three Utah coaches and two BYU coaches in this photo, among others.

The two photos above provide a closer look...

BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae (far left) watches Jenkins. In front of Coach Anae is Utah State assistant coach Chad Kauhaahaa. Two coaches from Coach Kauhaahaa is Utah offensive line coach Blake Miller, followed by Utah running back coach Aaron Alford. BYU defensive line coach Steve Kaufusi can be seen standing next in line, followed by Coach Sitaki.

Former BYU player and current Nicholls State University offensive line coach Keith Uperesa has made a full recovery from his struggles with thyroid cancer. Uperesa was active in teaching and mentoring the many participants at the All-Poly Camp.

Wyoming assistant coach Mike Fanoga is seen here coaching the linebackers.

The All-Poly Camp MVPs gather for a group photo. A couple notable camp participants standing up in the back row starting from left to right are Ryker Mathews (offensive tackle), Talitiga Poloai (athlete), Jarrett Finau (athlete) and Bo Reilly (quarterback), who is being looked at by Stanford.
