GAME NOTES: This will only be the second meeting between SIU-Edwardsville and Cal State Fullerton. The Titans won the only previous match up.

Cal State Fullerton is on a three-game losing streak that consists of losses to Houston Baptist, Cal State Bakersfield, and Wichita State. The Titans won their first three games of the year as they took down the Redlands, Nicholls State, and Louisiana. Coach Bob Burton's team struggled against Wichita State as they turned it over 23 times and made just 4-of-18 from beyond the arc. The Titans are scoring 78.2 points per game while connecting on 47.5 percent of their shots from the floor. Cal State Fullerton is holding its opponents to 71.7 points per game on 45.4 percent shooting from the field.

SIU-Edwardsville found its first win over Robert Morris Illinois in a 85-61 win. The Cougars lost their first four games of the year as they fell to Illinois, Illinois State, Lipscomb, and Hampton. Coach Lennox Forrester's team is scoring 64 points per game on 41.8 percent shooting from the floor while allowing 70.6 points per game on 43.8 percent shooting.

The Titans have an array of scoring options as four players are scoring in double figures. D.J. Seeley has been a great addition as he is leading the squad with 15.5 points per game. The California transfer has shown he can light up as he averaged 19.8 points per game in his first four. Seeley has cooled off as of late as he has scored 14 points total in his last two outings. Fellow Cal-transfer Omondi Amoke has picked up as Seeley has cooled off. Amoke scored 20 points against Cal State Bakersfield before posting 19 against Wichita State. Isiah Umipig and Kwame Vaughn have both been solid contributors with scoring averages of 12.7 and 12 per game, respectively.

Mark Yelovich is the go-to-guy for the Cougars. The 6-6 forward leads the team with 13.3 points per game. Yelovich has scored in double figures in every game this season while pulling down 4.8 rebounds per contest as well. Jerome James should continue to see his role grow as the season continues. The Missouri State transfer showed his value against Lipscomb as he scored 20 points and grabbed six rebounds in the three-point loss.

SIU-Edwardsville is going to need to pull together all its strengths while minimizing its weaknesses to pull out a win. The Cougars have talent on their roster, but putting it all together has been the challenge. Cal State Fullerton is going to look for Seeley and Amoke to carry it to a win in this one.
