Titans Sign Two More

Cal State Fullerton has signed two more players during the early signing period. One is a high school big body and the other looks to fill our needs at small forward.

Justin Burns, a 6-6, 205 pound forward from Cypress College, and Ephraim Williams, a 6-10, 220 pound center from Arroyo High School in San Bernardino have signed to attend Cal State Fullerton next year. With the earlier reports of Derek Quinet and Ceylon Taylor, this now makes four commitments gathered by the Titans.

Burns, who can play the three or the four, is currently a freshman at Cypress and he will have three years of eligibility for the Titans. He will likely be the leading candidate to replace senior forward Anthony Bolton.

Burns attended Central Park Christian Prep in Birmingham, Alabama, where he was First-team All- State and league MVP. He averaged 23 ppg, 8 rpg and 4 apg while playing all 5 positions. Burns attended college at UNLV last year but did not play basketball.

Williams is a big body who blocks shots, rebounds and loves to dunk. He is athletic but somewhat raw on the offensive end. His academic situation is uncertain but, as with Ceylon Taylor, he is willing to take a Prop 48 year, if needed.

According to TheInsidersHoops.com, Williams is No. 11 on a list of 2004 Top Centers on West Coast. Devil's Digest has Williams pegged for No. 29 on it's Top 50 West Coast Prospects.

If both Williams and Taylor lose a year to Prop 48, the Titans will have one more scholarship available and will use this on a JC big man.
