Scouting Report: NAU (Second time around)

Cal State Fullerton gets a a shot at redemption when Northern Arizona comes to Titan Gym on Saturday nightwith a start time of 7:05 pm (PST).

NAU handed the Titans their first loss of the season 77-60, up in Flagstaff. Cold shooting, lack of oxygen and poor perimeter defense were the culprits in their matchup last month.

As before, NAU is expected to launch as many three-pointers as their opponent will allow so Cal State Fullerton needs to adjust. It it not uncommon to see the Lumberjacks have four players behind the arch ready to fire. Expect the Titans to play man as long as they are affective.

For the Titans, this is a game Pape Sow should dominate but having nine NBA scouts in attendance watching his every move will no doubt affect his game. If he can just continue to perform strong on the boards and the Titans use their athleticism, the high-altitude sickness they suffered in the first game will be forgotten.'s Pick to Click: Anthony Bolton. Only because he is ready to break out and hit some needed threes. Bolton has shown glimpses of breaking out and tonight sounds like a good opportunity. Pape would be my initial pick but he may struggle giving all the attention coming his way. Throw in all the double and triple teams he will be seeing and it's fairly easy to see why Pape may not have his best game.
