Pepperdine returns eight letterwinners from last season's 22-9 ballclub that finished second in the regular season West Coast Conference (WCC) standings and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament. Pepperdine leads the all-time series with Cal State Fullerton by a 9-7 margin, and the Waves have won the last two meetings, including an 82-61 win last year at Titan Gym.
The Waves had little trouble defeating EA Sports West All-Stars on November
3 by a final score of 106-89. The Titans, on the other hand, lost to the same
team 100-80. Like that exhibition game, the Titans will be without most of their
front line as 6-11 players Babacar Camara and Pape Sow have been suspended.
Unlike that game, starter Brandon Campbell will be out due to an ankle sprain.

TitanCentral.com's Key's to Winning: The following three things will need to happen: Titans will need to shoot 70% from the floor (60% on 3's) while holding Pepperdine below 40%. They will have to have five turnovers or less. Babacar and Pape will need to be reinstated before the game. Sorry folks. Even with our three best players on the court we would be heavy underdogs. Without them we can't beat Pepperdine. The good news is newcomers such as Andrew, Lopez and Alexander will be forced to play many minutes which could help down the road.
